Miriam Beacham

Miriam believes that she was created to glorify and worship God through total surrender to Him. As an act of that worship she has surrendered her life to serving Him by sharing His Word through testimony and song, both on her own, and with the music and teaching ministry of One Purpose. Miriam also has a passion for being a compass to younger women by discipling and mentoring them.

Born in the Midwest, she moved to South Carolina at the age of eight and has called the Palmetto State home ever since. Shortly after graduating from the University of South Carolina, she married Jim Beacham. They have been blessed with three children — Jimmy, who is married to Lindsey with four children; Rachel, who is married to Ryan Cubbage with five children; and Mark who is married to Payten with one child.  They make their home in Columbia, South Carolina. Miriam and Jim are actively involved in their home church, First Baptist, Columbia, SC.

Miriam devotes her time to ministering to her family, various ministry rolls in their church, and ministering with One Purpose. Her husband is in full-time service with Valeo, a member care organization that seeks to Enable Global Workers to THRIVE in every aspect of their lives and calling.
